🎸 Privacy Policy 🎧

By using BeatKeeper you are consenting to our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information set out in this privacy policy.

Collection of Personal Information

We do not collect, store, use, or share any of your information, personal or otherwise directly from our app.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We will not disclose your information to any third party because we do not have access to it.

Cookie Policy

While our landing page uses cookies, the BeatKeeper app itself does not.

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our website are visited and by how many people.

The "help" portion of the toolbar on the majority of browsers will direct you on how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to command the browser to tell you when you receive a new cookie, or how to fully disable cookies.

In order to monitor BeatKeeper’s performance, we do use 3rd party cookies through Firebase.

Firebase uses device identifiers to collect and store information such as number of sessions per user, session duration, operating system, device models, geography, first launches, and app updates.

For more detailed information, see “Google Analytics for Firebase”.

Google Analytics for Firebase

To improve our understanding of user behaviour related to BeatKeeper and to optimise our services, we use Google Analytics for Firebase (hereinafter “Firebase”), a real-time database that is used to process real-time information. This involves anonymised user data being transmitted to Firebase.

Firebase uses personal data insofar as it’s limited to so-called "device IDs" which are time-stamped. The device IDs that are assigned by Firebase are unique, so they allow different events or processes to be linked to your device. Such events or processes allow us to enhance user guidance, assess the reasons for errors within the app, and enable push notifications.

“Device IDs” do not constitute personal data for us, and we do not make any efforts to personalize it later. The information generated by the “Device IDs” about your use of this mobile app is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Your IP address transmitted by this mobile app in the context of Firebase will not be merged with other data of Google.

If IP anonymization is activated on the mobile app, your IP address will be anonymised beforehand within the Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

On behalf of us, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the mobile app, to compile reports on mobile app activity and to provide other services relating to the mobile app. The IP address transmitted by the mobile app in the context of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Firebase Analytics retains ID-associated data for 60 days and retains aggregate reporting and campaign data without automatic expiration, unless the mobile app provider changes its retention preference in its Analytics settings or deletes its project.

We use the firebase service dynamic links that uses device specs IDs in case you have a mobile device with iOS operating system to facilitate use of newly-installed mobile apps. Dynamic Links only stores devices specs temporarily, to provide the service.

You can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the “Device ID” and relating to your use of the mobile app (including your IP address) and from processing this data by opting-out in this mobile app’s settings.

We employ Firebase in the pursuit of legitimate interests on the basis of a balancing of interests according to Article 6 section 1 letter f. of the European General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR).

Firebase is a subsidiary company of Google and is headquartered in San Francisco (CA), USA. To view the Firebase Privacy Policy, visit https://www.firebase.com/terms/privacy-policy.html

You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that any acquirer of BeatKeeper may continue to use your personal information so long as it complies with the custodial obligations in this policy.
